The Roig Arena is set for a historic night on Wednesday, May 13 (9:00 PM local time) as Valencia Basket hosts Panathinaikos in the fifth and decisive game of their quarterfinal series. The venue will be packed to capacity, with fans rallying to push the team toward the Final Four. The club has just released an official statement confirming that all tickets available at the box office (excluding season ticket holders) have been sold out.
In response to the high demand, the club has decided to once again open the Roig Arena’s auditorium to accommodate an additional 2,000 supporters. As they did during Game 4, even though Valencia Basket is playing at home, the auditorium will be opened with giant screens for fans to watch the action. The club will announce shortly how to obtain tickets for this area.
The official statement reads as follows: “Valencia Basket Club informs that all tickets available for sale for the fifth game of the quarterfinal series against Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens, to be played next Wednesday at 9 PM at the Roig Arena, have been sold out. The club thanks all its fans for their rapid response. Since many people were unable to purchase a ticket, the option to watch the game from the Roig Arena Auditorium will be reactivated, with limited capacity and prior reservation. Instructions will be shared in the coming hours. We remind our season ticket holders that the game is included in their subscription, as it is for the rest of the season, and if they cannot attend, they have the option to transfer their ticket to friends or family (note that reselling their seat may result in the loss of their season ticket status).”
The taronja faithful are gearing up for a night to remember. Over 15,000 fans in the stands and another 2,000 in the auditorium will cheer on Valencia Basket as they chase the biggest achievement in the club’s history.
